About Nena
Nena Stetson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with extensive experience supporting the well-being of military service members, veterans, and their families. As an Army spouse of more than 20 years, she navigated four deployments and ten military moves—experiences that continue to shape her deep understanding of military family life and resilience. Her insight into military culture, transition, and trauma recovery strengthens the organization’s capacity to reach and serve this important population.

Nena earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, her Master of Education from Bank Street College of Education, and her Bachelor of Science in Family Studies from the University of Arizona. She is passionate about advancing trauma-informed care and strengthening support for military-connected communities.

Nena currently works as a Military Family Life Counselor for JCS Military Support Services, in Bryn Mawr, PA, and has an extensive clinical and volunteer history. She has worked as a psychotherapist and director of counseling in various mental health settings, and volunteers regularly with local organizations.
